My best guess, though, is that his silence might indicate Mueller wrapped him up some time ago and he's not allowed to talk. Even discussion of possible wrongdoing by the NY FBI office doesn't turn up his name.

and emergency knee surgery in August, such a long flight indicating good recovery, or desperation. I'd love to imagine the latter, but! Somehow I don't think he made a deal with Mueller and was then free to show up in Ukraine, so any deal would have to be after.

But I have a NEW favorite: After plotting to kidnap that Turkish cleric for Erdogan, Giuliani was himself kidnapped in Ukraine and delivered secretly to that Turkish prison island they were to deliver Gulen to. I read that that dreadful, isolated place had only a few prisoners when Erdogan ordered all but one unnamed one removed, prompting speculation secrecy was being ramped up in preparation for Gulen's arrival.

This all is going to make one hell of a row of history books. Someday people will be talking about their favorites over on the lounge.
