https://www.feinstein.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?p=press-releases&id=6D13AD5D-EBEC-4652-B829-70ECB2BFFF74WashingtonSenator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today issued the following statement after the Trump administration announced it would not impose sanctions on Russia that Congress overwhelmingly passed last year:
President Trumps refusal to implement bipartisan sanctions that were overwhelmingly passed by Congress and signed into law by the president himself shows his unwillingness to confront Russia for its continued attacks on our democracy.
The law is clear: the president must sanction individuals with financial ties to Russias defense and intelligence sectors or waive them by certifying that Russia has reduced cyberattacks against the United States. The president has done neither.
The presidents decision is especially troubling considering Russias ongoing intrusions into our domestic affairs and CIA Director Pompeos confirmation that Russia is preparing to interfere with our upcoming elections.
By not imposing sanctions now, the president is placing Russian interests over the rule of law.

Why were there not one, not two, but 3 Russian spy chiefs here last week, Donnie?

(23,946 posts)Meanwhile where is the popular media on this clear as crystal violation of law by Shitler...all the while meeting with very same Russians to be sanctioned.
Even the look away corporate media must be aghast at this? Right?

(23,946 posts)reasons.
The military and all security agencies have to be making plans to tell Shitler to fuck off on any order that goes too far. I believe that. Smart folks.

(34,661 posts)were intel people. Are Intel Agencies building a case against Trump and his Crime Family? Nothing in the Media electronic or print from any of these Agencies. Scary part is Pompeo and his hook up with the FSB. Nance commented about a direct line of communication between Moscow and some one in the White House .

(51,636 posts)on Mon. about this. I am really pissed off that it took the MSM 2 days to put it on the air as a big story while DU had a zillion posts about it all day Mon.

(111,110 posts)...and the House and Senate voted overwhelmingly to place more sanctions on Russia in July of last year.
In a way, the entire Russia investigation is connected to the issue of sanctions.
And Trump chooses to ignore it???

(82,849 posts)We're all too busy getting ready for the Big Game* to bother with such petty and picayune matters. Hey, didja see what Tom Brady was wearing today**?
*aka The Super Bowl, but none of us have the moxie to take on the NFL and their spurious claim to a copyright on the name.
**This is, of course, not a story at all, just something I made up as an example of the kind of shiny object that the media will allow themselves to be distracted by so as to avoid talking about a lawless president.
