Russia's State TV: "Seemingly, Trump is ours again."

Last edited Tue Jan 30, 2018, 05:50 PM - Edit history (1)

#Russia's state TV:
Female host: "Seemingly, Trump is ours again. So far, he's being quiet and not supporting the sanctions."
Male host: "Well, it seems that way."

Source:

We all know Trump's been a pawn for the Russians. What I don't think he realizes is that the Russians have about as much loyalty to him as he has to anyone other than his own immediate family. As soon as he's done being useful, they'll toss him aside, doing indelible and deep damage to the office of POTUS in the same stroke. It's win-win for them.

**** UPDATE ****
Looks like RawStory has picked this up, as well:

And the USA in general. Apparently the Cold War never ended, and Russia's plot is finally unfolding. They're destabilizing all of the international coalitions that keep them in check, they're making sure that the other major superpower that they've always stood across from (the USA) loses its standing in the world and is delegitimized, and they make new coalitions with the big economic powerhouse of China.

Meanwhile, there's chaos at home. White nationalists and neonazis are empowered and emboldened, voters are disenfranchised at an alarmingly accelerating rate, the right-wing government is doing a smash-and-grab to milk everything they can while they hold power, meanwhile moving not-so-subtly towards authoritarianism. They're criminalizing dissent, delegitimizing actual news sources while normalizing far-right conspiracy peddlers, and criminalizing the poor at the same time. What a mess.

Like a drug, they have built up a resistance to his behaviour, after one after another lewd disgusting fact about him has been pounded into their brains daily. Maybe a few weeks before the election, if released then, may have done some damage, but not now. It is almost literally getting to the point where Trump could shoot someone in the street and be defended for it by his deplorables.

Russia's goal; "undermining U.S. democracy by polarizing the American constituency"

“I think I’ll leave that to Bob Mueller to answer,” Vinograd replied. “What I do think is, we already know from the intelligence community — and the entire intelligence community agrees on this — is that Donald Trump was Russia’s preferred candidate. Now that is not because any kind of personal love for Donald Trump. It is because they viewed him and his election as being more preferable to advancing their policies and to advancing their mission again of undermining U.S. democracy by polarizing the American constituency and decreasing American leverage around the world, and that is what Vladimir Putin wants.”

Saying out loud what used to be said either privately or only in dog whistles. And after all those years of effective dog whistles, there are no consequences any more! Woo, doom is neat!

To say this out loud and know that their lapdogs are going to do absolutely nothing about it... they're taunting them, knowing they're helpless, and loving every minute of making the United States look ridiculous and impotent.

Paying for the big houses, vacation homes, kids' education, mistresses wardrobe, bribes, whatever - that is really expensive!

If the roubles stopped flowing in you'd see a lot of distressed properties in Potomac MD, Great Falls VA, swell cabins in the woods around the world.

Perhaps Vlad has lots of "special" dachas set up to receive his honored guests from the US - the ones that didn't complete their end of the bargain.

If I were a politician on the take, I'd be very careful about my family, my loved ones (mistresses). Please note that I did not suggest that it is only repuglicans that like that stuff.

Of course, the pute is not without his own dangers.
