last night the ambulance and 3 fire trucks stopped at the park across the street

we watched them give CPR for quite a while and then they stopped and draped a blue tarp over the head and the coroner truck showed up.

It wasn't even super cold like it had been. If I ever get rich, I am opening some kind of shelter . A person shouldn't have to die all alone in a park.

I don't know the circumstance -if the person called it in them self or if someone called then took off.

I wanted to go pray, do something but my other half said I would just be in the way . He is right, but I did say a prayer through my window.

Sad that there was not once person was there.

Except I think it might have been an OD from what I heard the witnesses say, although I was sitting in my car waiting for a light and was pretty far away. Upsetting to see.

You'd see this happen several times a day, every day. We built a Navigator Center for the homeless and it was at least 10x oversubscribed the day it opened.

Some estimate over 10k homeless here. Horrible situation for them...

Several were living near downtown under a underpass.

They had tents and pets.

They did not want to leave behind what little they had.

this was a weekend evening and who ever it was probably missed out on a bed or didn't want to go because of the no drugs/alcohol policy.

I so feel in my heart I am here to do something for the homeless and giving out measly gloves or small bits of food is not enough.

Maybe I will win the sweepstakes and open my own shelter?
