Donald Trump has put our country into a constitutional crisis with his actions today.

He gave his approval to a House Committee to release the Nunez memo that was four pages long, and cherry-picked from over a thousand pages of investigative evidence. They have refused to let the Tweeter Chief's own Justice Dept see the memo? They refused to approve the minority memo to be released at the same time?

He also had the FBI Director and the Acting Atty-General for a visit today. Coincidentally, it is the same day that Deputy FBI Director was asked to leave his office. Call it "fired" or whatever you want...he is gone.

Donald Trump has created this crisis as a way to increase partisan divisions and to create obstacles in front of the Russian investigation. It should be clear to any serious-thinking American that this President is obstructing justice in order to prevent Robert Mueller from doing his job.

If he can get rid of Rosenstein, then he may find a way to control Mueller without firing him, depending on the person that takes Rosenstein's position??

We know that Trump is guilty as hell. Trump also knows he is guilty as hell. He keeps saying he's not - but everyday he confirms that he's guilty because he's acting like and doing what a guilty man would.

Most everybody knows in their heart that Trump is not an honest man and he's a crook.

But everyday Trump gets away with some action or words that puts him farther away from being found guilty. He keeps gaming the system - that we all thought was set up to catch people like him.

He did say he's a winner and we'll be doing so much winning that we will be getting sick of winning.

Well I'm there right now. I'm sick of his winning.

I like to think that 'every dog will have its day'. But everyday - it seems that we are getting further away from Trump having his 'so called day'. And to boot - he is being protected by his Party that continually circle the wagons around him.

I said it the day after the Nov 2016 election - that this country experienced a coup d'etat. I still believe that.

If we don't act soon - we'll be stuck with this guy and his Party and we'll never climb our way back to the democracy we all know and love.

The reaction here seems quite mild. I see a few threads about this topic with worried posters, other topics seem distractions and appear to be so unimportant by comparison. I actually fear that Trump and the likes of Nunes could get away with it.
As you said, for me this is nearing a crisis as well. Even before his election he relied on destroying the trust in the foundation of the US. Throughout his presidency, that was continued. Today another step was taken and the damage might not be reversible.

I would be shocked if free and fair open elections happen for the midterms. McConnell and Ryan will support martial law or suspension of habeus corpus. Something dictatorial is coming. What are you prepared to do?

Trump is seeing how far Repukes will let him go. I'm guessing they'll let him go pretty damn far.

As far as I am concerned, we HAVE been in a constitutional climate since he took office. He ignores all standards of protocol, balance of power, emoluments, and the law - and he has been getting away with it. What else has to happen that would wake up the Republicans?
