(102,276 posts)The latter is a problem for me; the former, no.
I just click on the link and go to the source IF I really want to see the video. A bit of a pain, but....

(36,852 posts)I remember several people experiencing the same phenomenon after they upgraded Firefox.

(28,201 posts)No Script update might be restricting twitter and will need to be added to the website's Trusted list.
The ABP update is messing up a lot of videos on sites I visit or confuse ads with valid site scripts.

(1,009 posts)Embedded tweets either on FF for my tablet. But can on my desktop FF.
Its possible FF doesnt use java, because Ive turned off java in safari and you can no longer see tweets when its turned off.

(36,852 posts)Hmmm?
P.S. NoScript is awesome (I disabled after the upgrade because I couldn't figure it out, but their tinkering with the interface brought me back).

(1,009 posts)If you are private browsing with firefox, you cant see embedded tweets. Without private browsing you can. This is tablet/mobile though.

(36,852 posts)I don't use private browsing, though (nor would I be able to post this if I did... lol!)

(1,009 posts)is this a desktop? Maybe an ad blocker? For instance my ad blocker will unintentionally block certain things like comments section from facebook accounts under an article.

(36,852 posts)I enabled it (and Adblock plus) when I disabled NoScript due to their perplexing upgrade/userface (now resolved).
Anywho, thank you!

(7,241 posts)if I'd seen it earlier.
Here's what I wrote when EarlG first announced we could now embed tweets:
You'll need to either whitelist ("Trust Site" ) DU or allow the Twitter Button Social Media Tracker in order for this to work.

IOW, you don't need to disable Ghostery altogether (I'd find it hard to live without it), just either whitelist DU or enable the Twitter Button Social Media Tracker (if it's blocked).

(128,979 posts)and it was related to the setting in "Privacy and Security" for "Tracking Protection", where it needs to be set to "Only in private windows" or "Never" (I think by default it is "Always" ).
ETA this is for v57.x

(3,598 posts)If this is your problem, you can turn off Tracking Protection for specific sites. Just click the "shield" icon next to the URL in the address bar, and disable protection for DU.
