That's the title of Mr. Douthat's opinion piece in the NY Times and also one of the most patently ridiculous statements ever to embarrass that usually reliable news source.
Miller is a nazi racist who is also an inferior intellect. To suggest that he is "necessary" to finding a viable solution to our immigration
problems is to say that we are willing, on some level, to adopt some of his hate into our national policy.
No way. We should not even attempt civility with Miller---or his boss, for that matter.

He's not only knee-jerk conservative, he's not especially clever about it. I don't know why they keep him around.

Bothsides is clearly a more potent drug than crack or fentanyl. If we acknowledge the vast majority of Americans who support the work of Planned Parenthood, we must also acknowledge the minority of assholes who spend their days picketing clinics with pictures of fetuses. The fact that the fetus fetishists would like to bomb the Times building immediately after blowing up every Planned Parenthood in the country doesnt seem to faze these assholes.

The New York Times regards it as a financial and moral duty to pander to Republicans, even when they are stupid or nuts, because it needs 2 parties to position itself between.
