(22,345 posts)Tea and rest is an appropriate treatment post-hyst when you have ample leave time and your boss isn't emailing you questions about the work you've left. People take painkillers so they can keep working.
And parents tend to not have enough support to rest. Middle aged white women are a large consumer of opiates. Expectations to work, take care of children, and aging parents as well as dealing with age related illness. Often too much to handle in this culture.

(23,544 posts)for my pediatric hospice patients. For the most part from what I have seen cannabis based medications don't help them much. It is another tool in the tool box. But, it's not a miracle. That said for some and not all kids with seizures it can help significantly.

(3,569 posts)The painkillers they gave me were less than what I take daily. And ran out rather quickly.
