If true, it is simply her getting away that is being cheered. Discussion of enabling in this manner is offensive and far too many hold said thought process. When a woman who has failed to press charges against her husband for years leaves him, are you going to talk about how she enabled him for so long. Men are the oppressors. Yes, women often feel powerless of fearful to stop it. Even manifesting itself in outward and public support of the abuser.

If true, there is no reason to not support her(or just ignore it).

I am not going all in on her. If she chooses to leave, good for her. I am not talking about enabling. I work with abuse survivors and I am one, if true, I can applaud that. But I can also acknowledge the bs she helped perpetuate about President Obama. I know that the system can be oppressive and aid the abuser. That is something that we need to push back against.

and since I think The Mail got it from the Sun, there is reason to question whether or not this is a distraction set up by Trump-friendly Murdoch. That said, it certainly DOES seem to meld with what we already know about Trump v Melania's relationship.

Come to think of it, maybe that’s why she’s not in the White House now; not so much moving out as hiding her, like parking your car a few blocks away so the repo man doesn’t find it.

For the climber.

They both use each other. It's their nasty little bargain.

With her looks, she could have caught the eye of a decent man. That wasn't what she wanted.

Lie down with dogs, you get fleas. Or bitten. Or peed on.

Don't put me on the poor Melania list. It's just like his voters: he never once pretended to be anything other than his true self.

That's why he's always bellyaching: He's saying, "Hey- you knew full-well what was coming when you signed up with me."

That's exactly why his voters like him: he never hid his flaws: he flaunts them.

Melodrama wears a bit thin after a while. She knew exactly who tRump was when she married him. No doubt, well before she married him. She had her eyes on other prizes she’d get if she just co-operated with him, played along and was his arm candy. She wasn’t the first person to make such a bargain and surely won’t be the last. She just happens to be one of the best known .

Now if there is anyone in this whole saga who deserves our empathy and concern, it is Barron. He asked for none of this and yet there he is, caught in the spotlight of the public eye. Melania has tried to keep his profile low, but he is the son of the President. By all accounts, he is an afterthought to tRump. The kid probably has had all the toys and goodies one kid could want. A father who loves him and truly cares about him is not going to be possible for him. And if anyone thinks that a lifestyle of riches and fame makes up for that...well, they are sadly mistaken.

Barron is old enough now (12?) that the dye is cast. The relationship with his father is set. No wonder the poor kid often looks lost and forlorn.

she has been tucking money into a mattress or tomato can. Maybe holding on to a bauble or two for when her time as Mrs. tRump is over. If she loves Barron as much as she is reported to love the boy, she kept some rubies and diamonds aside for him. I think tRUMP’s so-called riches may be more illusion than real and it is for sure his defense against money laundering and assorted other charges won’t come cheap. So let’s hope she has been working on her rainy day fund since 2005 when she married him.

And although this isn't per se an attack on Melania, it still regards the Trump family personal lives, which I believe to be off-limits.

Don't get me wrong, I get a small thrill knowing that all is not well in the Trump household. However, we have enough ammunition against Donnie Two Scoops to assail him from today until kingdom come. Let his come-uppance come from Robert Mueller and Co.
