The term evangelical “started to really represent, actually, a branch of Christians that seemed to be a little more conservative and a little bit more hypocritical, a little bit more willing to compromise on the personal morals of a candidate in lieu of what politically they could gain for their party,” Jerushah Armfield, Graham’s granddaughter, told CNN’s Pamela Brown.

Anybody catch this? Refreshing, to say the least.....bet she’s PNG among her own family, much less the rest of the mouthbreathing geebs her predecessors have duped for over fifty years

1. I googled her name and found several videos of her interview on CNN.

I wish more like her would speak out against the big mouths who now call themselves Evangelicals. Jerusha has it right. They are hypocrites who compromise their ethics to get what they want politically.

She's explaining how it started to get so bad, all right. Wonder if Twitter's going to flood her with language corrections,though. She's not the first I've seen use "in lieu of" for "in view of." If that's what she's doing, a little confusing.
