Mueller Had No Interest In Bannon Until Book
January 25, 2018 at 6:58 pm EST
By Taegan Goddard
A lawyer close to special counsel Robert Muellers investigation told the Daily Beast that before the release of Michael Wolffs book Fire and Fury, the special counsels team indicated zero interest in questioning President Trumps former chief strategist Stephen Bannon for their Russia probe.
Bannon himself told Wolff that he didnt expect to hear from Mueller: I know no Russians, I dont know nothin about nothin. Im not being a witness. Im not hiring a lawyer.
Hes now expected to talk with the special counsels team by the end of the month.

(9,426 posts)claims, too? Being in the WH in close proximity to Agent Orange, Bannon HAD to hear enough to make his testimony interesting to Mueller. Bannon was too involved to be able to claim innocence. Where was he when tRump was in the Oval office with the two high ranking Russians?

(8,138 posts)He interviewed Conway but no interest in Bannon. I don't buy it.

(14,837 posts)He (muehler) would at least want to ask every senior staffer a list of specific questions. Bannon was in every meeting, on air force one frequently, and was managing initiatives.
He would have been important to interview because he was a peer to the chief of staff, and he was around trump for a long time prior to the election.
This story sounds like a bannon plant. See, I have done nothing wrong, so my resume is clean for future office!

(3,433 posts)Bannon is more interesting (to me) for his role with Cambridge analytica. That's part 2 of the process.
This according to Seth Abraham on Twitter.

(22,651 posts)about 10 yrs before the wow game even came out. Way back in the days when our game servers connected to Russia, Koreas, China, Formosa (RIP). back in the days when a game economy generated more real cash than some small countries.
always wondered how he managed to pass security clearances to spend much time alone with republicans president. how Bannon dropped from the sky into middle! of trumps personal life. a mole? /shrug, wouldn't be the first time FBI/CIA have used people as moles

(42,288 posts)I suspect that some of the stories we get about Mueller are a form of dis-information meant for one major audience and intended to make that person crazier and therefore more likely to say (or tweet) something stupid and incriminating. Another turn of the screw...
