Is there an epidemic of insanity hittting the country?

Two stories from my area. (Northeastern Wisconsin)

Woman run over after 13-year-old steals her vehicle

TOWN OF MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Police in the Madison area are looking for a 13-year-old girl who they say carjacked a vehicle, dragged its owner and then ran over her.

Authorities say the crime took place in the parking lot of a Town of Madison business about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. A 45-year-old Middleton woman had her vehicle running while loading it. The woman saw the girl jump into the driver's seat and tried to talk to her through a passenger door.

Police say the girl reversed the vehicle and dragged the woman about 30 feet before she fell from the vehicle. Officials say the girl accelerated as she drove over the woman. The woman was taken to a Madison hospital. Her condition is unknown.

Police recovered the vehicle, but the girl is still at large.

Complaint: man arrested for high speed chase smashes jail window

SHAWANO COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - A Bowler man has been charged with nine counts following a drunken high speed chase that landed him in jail, where he ended up smashing a glass window, according to a criminal complaint.
Paul Malone, 30 is charged with 3rd Offense OWI, Criminal Damage to Property, and 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, among other counts.

A criminal complaint obtained by Action 2 News details the events of Jan. 20. A Shawano County deputy says he was called about a fight between two drunk men and a woman on Ho Chunk Road. The deputy learned the suspects had taken off in a red SUV.
The deputy spotted the red SUV driving at a high rate of speed and he tried to stop it.

The SUV stopped in the middle of Witt-Birn Townline Road and a man got out. He identified himself as Paul Malone and yelled profanities while asking why he was being stopped.

The deputy said Malone would not obey his commands. Malone got back into the SUV and drove off. The deputy chased after him.

The deputy said Malone slammed on the brakes and went into reverse toward the squad car in an attempt to hit it.

Malone again took off at a high rate of speed. His SUV hit an intersection at County Q and slid due to speed and icy conditions. The deputy tried to pull behind the SUV, but Malone was able to maneuver his vehicle and get behind the deputy's squad.

At this point, Malone started chasing the deputy's squad around the intersection.

The deputy tried to make a Y-turn, and Malone drove up next to the squad.

"At this time I believe Paul had driven the suspect vehicle into the side of my patrol car, pinning the door closed, rendering me trapped inside," reads the deputy's report in the criminal complaint. "I was unable to see anything outside the vehicle due to the brightness of the headlamp shining into my face."

Malone's SUV went into reverse and the deputy quickly got out of the squad to avoid being trapped again. The deputy ran around the squad to seek cover.

Malone took off north on County Q at a high rate of speed.

The deputy got back in the squad and continued to chase Malone until it became too dangerous.

Eventually, the deputy came across the SUV in a ditch. Malone and a woman were trying to get out of the SUV and a third person was in the passenger's seat.

The deputy took a resistant Malone into custody. He kicked doors, windows, and banged his head in the patrol vehicle.
Malone had to be treated for a cut on his head.

"At times Paul would rock and shake the patrol vehicle in an attempt to cause it to crash. Paul complained about my driving, the way he was treated and asked for medical clearance for his head injury," reads the complaint.

Malone was taken to the Shawano County Jail and assistance was needed to get him out of the squad.

"Prior to his removal, Paul was spitting excessively throughout my backseat," reads the complaint.

While in jail, Malone punched a glass window of a door inside the booking area, smashing and shattering the glass.
Malone appeared in court on Jan. 22. The court ordered a $5,000 bond and ordered absolute sobriety.

But I do see at least one Wisconsin factor though, a drunken brawl.

That’s all Wisconsin.

I'm thinking though at the beginning of the encounter when the speeding driver stopped in the middle of the road and got out cursing and demanding why he was stopped, then wouldn't obey commands, if said driver was black would the same restrain have been shown by the officer?

I doubt it.

And through that whole, lengthy chase and cat and mouse with the cars and the officer trying not to get ran down by the driver, through all of that the cop never pulled out his gun in fear for his life.

WTF, talk about white privilege.
