Twitter users launch #OneWhoDoes after White House says nobody cares about Trump question to FBI official
By Brett Samuels - 01/24/18 06:39 PM EST

Twitter users on Wednesday ripped White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders for saying Americans don’t care that President Trump reportedly asked a senior FBI official who he voted for in the 2016 presidential election.

“I very seriously doubt that any person in America would list that as an issue they care about. And frankly, that’s what we’re focused on,” Sanders said during Wednesday’s press briefing.

The Washington Post reported Tuesday that Trump asked Andrew McCabe the question when he visited the White house last year. McCabe, whose wife ran for office as a Democrat, was the acting FBI director at the time.

Trump told reporters Wednesday he does not recall asking McCabe who he voted for.

On Monday, Axios reported that FBI Director Christopher Wray had threatened to resign if Attorney General Jeff Sessions didn't stop putting pressure on him to fire Deputy Director McCabe.

In response to Sanders’s comments, the hashtag “#OneWhoDoes” began spreading on Twitter, with users declaring they did care that the president would ask after McCabe's vote.

Late night personality Andy Richter and former U.S. attorney Preet Bharara were among the first to push back against Sanders.
