Ed Martin, a staunch supporter of President Trump who signed on as a CNN contributor just four months ago, has been let go by the network.
Martin hosts a radio talk show in St. Louis. He was hired by CNN in September after another pro-Trump contributor, Jeffery Lord, was abruptly fired. Lord was fired after mocking the president of Media Matters by tweeting a Nazi salute to him in protest for what he called "anti-speech" tactics against conservative media members by the liberal media watchdog organization.
The decision by the network comes after Media Matters flagged that Martin had not appeared on CNN since mid-December, after stating on his radio program that some panelists on a CNN segment he appeared on were "black racists," which included CNN contributors Ana Navarro, Symone Sanders and April Ryan.
Navarro celebrated the news with a tweet to her 729,000 followers: "Bye. Fe-Li-Cia."
