Nunes unilaterally put together dishonest "FISA abuse" memo GOP reps want released

There's been a huge kerfuffle about this "alarming" memo in RW media the last few hours, pushed very hard by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Slimy). Supposedly this "FISA memo" reveals such alarming corruption in the FBI and DOJ, exposing the (gasp!) misuse of the dossier to get the FISA warrant (it wasn't the basis of the warrant but the GOP won't let go of this lie), that it will instantly destroy the Mueller investigation and lead to the firing of Rosenstein, among others.

Interesting that this pops up as a distraction from the looming shutdown, the Stormy Daniels story, and -- most importantly -- all the latest news on Trump/Russia.

Trump's toadies are saying that this very biased "expose" of the FBI's investigation is so important it must be released immediately, and this will supposedly destroy the Mueller investigation and lead to firings.

I didn't find out Nunes put this together until I saw that Many Raju tweet. The Rethugs are talking as if they found some top-secret memo from years ago.

Politico's story on this "secret memo," a story I hadn't seen before I posted this. I'd spent some time skimming RW stories trying to figure out what this yuuuuuge story was supposed to be about. Interestingly, not one of those stories admitted this was Devin Nunes's one-sided summary. They're trying to make this sound like some sort of great discovery, not RW spin in memo form.

12. Hannity Led With It Tonight

I was at the gym tonight and one of the TVs right in front of me was on Faux News. There was no sound, but I saw Hannity sitting next to a big graphic that said, "FISA Abuse," so I figured this had to be the latest distraction. I didn't even have to hear it to know it was laughable. There was also a graphic later that said something about the Trump Campaign was SPIED ON!!! And you'll never guess what came up next. That's right, a picture of Hillary Clinton. These guys are nothing if not predictable.

Trumpers are desperate for distraction for the rightwing base to latch onto after so much damning info came out of the Glenn Simpson testimonies. Can't let their supporters' attention dwell on the explosive dossier claims against Trump that serve to justify FBI investigations and provide good reasons for FBI agents to be anti-Trump.
