The republican party hates democracy as they can't win if it was fair.

Evil elitist bastards.

Two liberals voted to freeze the 3 Judge ruling. That makes me feel better about the final ruling once the Court hears oral arguments. Kennedy and Roberts may vote with the liberals in a final ruling - my guess is Roberts or Kennedy brokered a deal to get the two liberal votes.

equivalencies by saying they were "tired of voting for the lesser of two evils", and how the Supreme Court wasn't a good enough reason...

This specific issue said that NC did not have to immediately redraw Congressional maps for the next election,

What happened late in 2017 in regard to Texas redistricting was put on hold with a 5 - 4 decision across ideological lines

(R) states were often slightly (R); (D) states were deeply (D). The state boundaries constituted the most significant gerrymandering.

How much you wanna bet that it'll be suddenly 'un-froze' ... right around November 9th, 2018?

Why the hell is this just a 'freeze', why are they not just 'deciding'? Under what conditions (ostensibly) are they planning to revisit their decision?

What manner of F***ERY is this, anyways? What fresh hell?

And WTH is up w/Kagan and Breyer FFS. Kagan especially.

Virginia was and still is gerrymandered to grossly favor republicans, the Dem governor could not reverse that with a heavily republican legislature. But look at what happened when people on our side made an effort to vote and ignored the bullshit from the Our Revolution idiots.

State Legislative elections will be unbelievably important 3 years from now. Those are the state legislatures that will draw the lines.
