The Times editorial board has been sharply critical of the Trump presidency, on grounds of policy and personal conduct. Not all readers have been persuaded. In the spirit of open debate, and in hopes of helping readers who agree with us better understand the views of those who don’t, we wanted to let Mr. Trump’s supporters make their best case for him as the first year of his presidency approaches its close. Tomorrow we’ll present some letters from readers who voted for Mr. Trump but are now disillusioned, and from those reacting to today’s letters and our decision to provide Trump voters this platform.

I think it has been proven that our election was hacked by Russia, votes flipped, voter supression.... the electoral college determining the person with fewer votes wins.
So, I am a disillusioned Hillary voter.

Yeah, we’re the rebuttals I guess. Whatever, too weak to my eyes. They own the trashing they’ll get for this obvious attention seeking stunt.

My apologies. So many people are disingenuous anymore I’m hyper careful not to assume motives anymore.

while continously going after hillary for what she is/isn't doing for the majority of the country that did not support her.

They’re showcasing the minority to make him seem somehow more popular.

They’ll pay for it in the end. You can’t normalize this administration without suffering the consequences.

I’ll add I do realize they’re devoting the following day to his disillusioned voters and rebuttals to these opinions, I still find it lazy.

Feb 16, 2003.. fhe day after the world wide "Just Say NO to War" demonstrations in NYC and all over the world.

I was anxiously awaiting to see their coverage of what went on in their city.. and wait for.. They Buried IT.

I read this in a post below..

I thank my dear New York Times for asking to hear from Trump voters. It’s been difficult to read the paper this past year. It’s anti-Trump in everything from the front page to fashion. It’s so pervasive that I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that there’s not another loyal New York Times reader out there who voted for Mr. Trump and that I’m sending the only submission. New York Times, I will always love you, despite our disagreement.

Before I respond to your questions, I have a question of my own: Did you run similar surveys for Obama voters? Or, for that matter, Eisenhower voters? Trump voters are not circus freaks to be displayed or singled out.

The NYT Editorial Board are as stupid and puerile as they come. I'm cancelling my subscription but I wonder if there's any way to find out what kind of a hit they will take over this. Can anyone imagine the Wall Street Journal running an entire issue of pro-Hillary letters to the editor and not take a hit on their subscriptions? Who are these people to normalize a shithole dictator?

I have not seen that many Fox News enthusiasts all in one space. I am really surprised there were no Racist, Sexist, or Hate filled letters. All were praising Trump like as if he was Sent By GOD. These people are really ignorant. They have been spoon fed Fox News until all they can do is spit it back out, sometimes in ways that are unimaginable!

Publishing letters from pro-Trumpers for one day on the opinion page is over the line? Come on.

Youw know, the NYT was a national leader in unethical, negative coverage of Hillary Clinton. But that was NOTHING to CNN and MSNBC, who did the same thing but far worse, with massive lies added and pushed all day long every day.

Isn't this anger just a little...late, hopelessly inadequate, and for a really crappy reason?

For us to take back the House, we're going to have to win back seats held by Republicans. To do that, we need to appeal to moderate Republicans who voted for Obama but switched to Trump. And the first step to that is realizing that not every Trump voter is the stereotype religious bigot/xenophobe that some liberals frame them as. As for me, I don't need to be protected from opinions I don't agree with.

They really need to cut this shit out. The narrative that nobody understands trump voters and their problems is beyond ridiculous. They act like they have sole proprietorship of struggling. We have heard everything they have to say about "economic anxiety" and said yea that's a problem we are already working on. Their actual and real economic problems and our economic problems are one in the same.

The problem is that they don't want to hear that our problems are mostly shared and the only way they get fixed is to offer a unified front. That's not going to happen because of where we split and will always split. The bottom line is that they hate black people, brown people and aren't all that fond of women either - it's as simple as that. They aren't going to vote with us or to advance anything that doesn't work in their self interest.

With that being what it is the absolute best we can ever hope for is that they stay the hell out of our way, but if the election of trump says anything. It's that they will always be there laying in the cut for another "prophet" to lead them to the "sanitized" utopia.

Trump supporters should not hide their shortcomings under a bushel.

Who doesn't want to be a moron?

Who doesn't want to be a bigot?

Who doesn't want to display their ignorance?
