HILARIOUS how the Trump Regime, whose commander in chief is a notorious serial sexual predator and rapist, is suddenly oh-so-CONCERNED about sexual harassment of women. HA!AS IF.
Pretentious hypocrisy remains the very hallmark of Republicans. Every minute. Every day. I'm inclined to believe the NP board members themselves more than the Orange Menace Brigade. Lack of diversity and ignorance of Climate Change sounds a lot more like Trump than sudden concern about sexual harassment of women, after all.

We welcome their resignations and would expect nothing less than quitting from members who found it convenient to turn a blind eye to women being sexually harassed at National Parks, Interior Department spokeswoman Heather Swift said in an emailed statement.
The Trump administration has claimed the National Parks Service was afflicted with a culture of sexual misconduct during the administration of President Barack Obama that was not adequately addressed by the previous leadership.

Knowles had said the concerns of the resigning panel members included climate change and a difference in policies regarding the hiring of diverse candidates by the U.S. National Park Service.

(118,334 posts)The resignation of nine of the 12 members of the National Park System Advisory Board is both unfortunate and understandable. For eight decades, the non-partisan group of issue experts and committed park enthusiasts have studied issues, consulted fellow experts and made recommendations to the Director of the National Park Service and Secretary of the Interior on matters facing our parks, from historic site management to new park creation. And yet, this administration has shown no interest in benefiting from their expertise. In fact, the Interior Secretary hasnt even met with them, despite repeated requests throughout 2017. Not one single meeting.
With all of the issues facing our National Park System, from a more than $11 billion maintenance backlog to budget cuts and staffing issues, this is the very time the Advisory Board should be consulted. Instead, they are being ignored while the administration continues to carry out their war on parks.

(9,257 posts)....about sexual harassment of women. I knew that had nothing to do with any of this.
I believe the NPCA, not the Trump admin.
