will tell the truth just because they are under oath? I cannot think of one of them who would not lie their ass off with their hand on a Bible. Under oath does not make me feel one bit better toward getting the truth.

In situations where he actually needs answers, he knows how to get all the witnesses to implicate each other (not themselves).

(37,748 posts)I think those Trump people are a lot more afraid of the negative consequences of lying than they are afraid of the negative consequences of being truthful.
It comes down to this (for me): are they stupid enough to believe they're clever enough to lie, or are they clever enough to realize "I better tell the truth, else I'm doing five to ten in the big house when they finally get to the bottom of this"?
Also, I think Mueller is smarter than seven of them put together and has a fiendishly simple way to take them down... let them speak, by letting horseshit-Trump tweet, and letting Sanders pontificate every other day.
