Since I do not believe one word issued from Trump's White House, here's my take on the information released regarding Trump's health.
I don't believe any of it.
Trump is the Commander-in-Chief. The physician who examined him is Ronny L. Jackson, MD. Physician to the President, Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy. Therefore, the doctor is a subordinate to the president.
Trump ordered him to issue a favorable and flattering report.

(45,020 posts)This report is entirely unbelievable
But most Americans won't think about this critically.
Our populace has been dumbed-down so critical analysis no longer applies to their views of our so-called leaders.

I'm guessing closer to 5'11" to 6'0" at best. See the picture at the link below.

Loosen the tinfoil.
I remember when this place blew up over non-doctors pretending to give medical diagnoses. Now some people here do it all the time.
Like I said, sad.
I'm happy because we can still express our views. Thank you, Bill of Rights. I'm confident that if Trump could, he'd shut us down.
There are very few statements that come from the Trump White House that can withstand scrutiny. Given your posting history and longevity on DU illustrates that you know what I write is true.
In fact, I am not making a diagnosis as I am not a doctor. But I do have critical thinking abilities and when I assess the comments from this administration, they lie with impunity.
Can you really dispute Trump's weight? Or his BP/HR given his acknowledged diet?
Regardless, we are on the same side in this morass.
Lastly, I use aluminum foil. (wink)

(33,643 posts)Do you not find that a bit ... UNLIKELY?
And if he's not being honest about that ... it's logical to wonder if he's being honest about ... anything, really.
The mental decline and dementia-like behavior is pretty undeniable at this point, though there may be no measurable 'signs' in terms of things showing up in blood work or the like.
I'm not going to 'diagnose' from afar, but I will say I'm beginning to wonder if he might not have some 'lewy bodies' going on myself.
And it would seem to be correct to say that he is Commander-In-Chief and hence holds de-facto executive power over his physician.

the admiral was had a couple of tells that he wasn't telling the truth including saying "you know" too many times when speaking about something factual.

(1,474 posts)But I have no evidence to believe Dr. Jackson is lying. The statement from the Whitehouse with his name spelled incorrectly stinks, but still not enough info to believe the Dr. lied.
trump is a sociopath. Medical diagnoses of that condition cannot be done with a rudimentary test. The mental abnormalities of trump are obvious are beyond question. But claiming he is insane or infirmed is speculation. To me, he looks like a walking corpse, but I may be biased.

(16,254 posts)it might have been a way for him to follow orders, but still be able to signal to anyone who knew him that it wasn't truly his name. Kind of like someone trying to signal they have been kidnapped and needed help.
Hey, that may sound strange, but how many strange things have we seen during this administration.
It would be interesting to see how he signed Obama and Bush's report.
What I found interesting was that he visits with him several times/day? For a reason? Trump has time?

(25,551 posts)Last week, he didn't sign anything.
Last week the WH "quoted" him and spelled his name incorrectly.

(22,048 posts)My point still stands, however.
As a military officer, the president's physician is obligated to follow his lawful orders.
Here is my skeptical perspective: What if Trump ordered Dr. Jackson to issue a healthy report? Given the publicly available evidence that Trump has tried to obstruct justice, do you really think Trump wouldn't skew his physical?
We live in weird times.

(32,077 posts)But I can remember the left questioning Bush's exams. And then the right questioning Obama's exams (self admitted drug use and a 30 year heavy smoking habit). All by the same doctor that examined Trump. Watching Trump on TV I have no reason to believe he is unhealthy for a 71 year old . (BTW I would never vote for anyone 65 or older for President because I think that is too old. Call me ageist or whatever) I am not going to play an internet doctor. If others wish to do that, fine, but I think it is at the level of gossip.

I remember people were saying Bush had a low IQ. I don't think he had a low IQ. He graduated from both Yale and Harvard.

(42,610 posts)'I think it's going to go very well,' Trump told reporters when asked about his physical a day before he sees a Navy doctor. He added that, 'I'll be very surprised if it doesn't.'
'Hell join me here on Tuesday to give a detailed readout of the presidents exam and then answer a few questions from you guys,' said White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders at her daily press briefing.
