(26,268 posts)In fact, I sometimes still do, and it's been 6 years! So that might just be an ingrained habit.

(58,665 posts)I do that sometimes. I wore glasses my whole life, but had cataract surgery on both eyes a couple of years ago. I still occasionally try to do somthing with my glasses. Especially at times like when I climb into the shower.

(26,268 posts)Mine was cataract surgery, too. I was EXTREMELY near sighted so when I had my surgery, I upgraded to state of the art new lenses that gave me 20/20 vision and, save for reading VERY small print on a color background or dim light, no need for glasses.
It was costly, but worth every single dollar.

I can't fault an 83 year old for having a good vision day.
I'm 61 and my vision changes from day to day.
