Umbrella hog Trump gets tips from etiquette pros after leaving Barron, Melania in the rain

That’s the verdict from average Joes and pro etiquette experts in response to behavior by President Trump, who boarded Air Force One in the rain on Monday to fly from Mar-a-Lago to Washington.
As he did, 45 hogged a big black umbrella and left his soggy wife Melania and youngest son Barron trailing behind without a brolly — exposed, damp and on their own.
“We generally try to not comment on individuals, but in terms of principles of etiquette your rank doesn’t absolve you from common courtesy,” Daniel Post Senning, author and spokesperson for the Emily Post Institute, told the Daily News.

“Modern manners require that you share an umbrella when it’s raining,” said author, attorney and manners expert Sharon Schweitzer, founder of the protocol firm Access to Culture.
“I don’t know the protocol of who boards Air Force One in what order,” Schweitzer, who’s based in Austin, Texas, told the Daily News. “I’m surprised that everyone isn't provided with an umbrella.”
But they’re not — as seen by the pictures of Trump and his soggy family, in contrast, to ones of Barack Obama sharing his umbrella with wife Michelle.
