I see clips of people running. I've heard accounts as to how people dealt with the alert. I was thinking in the chaos - that some people sustained injuries; had heart attacks or maybe even died.
I'm sitting here in the Chicago Area and if we had a similar alert - where does one go or take shelter from a nuclear attack? Anybody know? Seriously - (aside from the wise guy answers of putting your head between your legs and kissing your ass goodbye)
Really - with the alert they received in Hawaii - what did they expect people to do?

(16,254 posts)Having to pick/choose which family members to run to has to be excruciating.
In my case, I could only go to the center of my basement and hope for some kind of miracle. I would have plenty of food to live on for weeks, but would you want to? What would be facing us outside? What would the future bring?
I'd probably die of a stroke or heart attack knowing that two assholes caused all this misery with their mouths and neither was close enough to strangle.
