A conservative columnist said President Trump called friends to brag after the meeting in which the president reportedly referred to Haiti, El Salvador and African nations as "shithole countries."

Trump faced widespread backlash and accusations of racism after a report he disparaged several nations during a meeting with lawmakers at the White House.

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump reportedly asked, referring to immigrants from African nations, Haiti and El Salvador.

The White House initially did not deny the comment, which came as lawmakers work on an immigration deal.

8. He must think EVERY person that voted for him

is his base. why else do you worry about what your base thinks about such trivial BS? Truth be told i have heard from multiple people that voted for Trump that have basically said they regret it or that they likely wont vote for him again. I dont think he realizes that stuff like this may play well w/ his base, but his "base" is about 30-35% of the population, not half.
