1. no, his candidacy and presidency wasn't "laced with" racist rhetoric. it *was* racist

he's a white supremacist who ran a white supremacist campaign using white supremacist rhetoric to advance a white supremacist agenda.

to say it was "laced" with racism implies that "it" was something that wasn't fundamentally racist itself.

it was thoroughly racist to the core.

it was "laced" with the occasional reference to something that *wasn't* racist in order to give cover to people not wanting to own up to the fact that he was the white supremacist candidate.

He mocked the disabled, said plenty of terrible things about women -- specific individuals and women in general ...

Basically, he ran as a bully, berating and belittling everything and everyone that was too weak to hit back.

That such a shithole exists is no surprise ... that so many Americans want that ...

Well, I think it makes us ALL unworthy.
