This morning I caught myself wondering how long it would be before someone makes a movie based on the book. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if it was already in the works.
Then I had a really weird thought - what if it were made into a musical?

(115,704 posts)musical theatre and opera, the deranged goings-on of the Trump White House lends itself better to the more extreme dramatic expression of a true opera. Kaija Saariaho, John Adams, Thomas Adès or Nico Muhly could probably do a bang-up job.

Trump, unfortunately for Broadway, is nothing but weaknesses. Unless they want to seel it as slapstick?

"There again we could be foolish not to quit while we're ahead
For distance lends enchantment, and that is why
All exiles are distinguished, more important, they're not dead
I could find job satisfaction in Paraguay."
..."I can see us many miles away, inactive
Sipping cocktails on a terrace, taking breakfast in bed
Sleeping easy, doing nothing, it's attractive."
I wish Trump & co. would self-exile to Paraguay, Honduras, or some other tropical paradise.

(6,137 posts)wolff in his interviews said that trump wont read the book cause he doesnt read so he already suggested that it needs to be televised for him to know whats in the book. I think Ray Liotta will make a perfect bannon and meryl streep would play trump. Paris hilton as ivanka, ashton kucher as kushner, scaramucci as the mooch himself, etc.

I like the idea of an opera or Shakespearean play, but I was thinking more along the lines of a musical comedy, maybe directed by Mel Brooks.
