Not one White House staffer has publicly questioned whether Bannon’s words rang true. Not one Republican senator has suggested publicly that perhaps we should pay heed to Bannon’s words to Wolff. No one at Breitbart, or the Mercers, or the Republican National Committee or even Bannon’s Gilligan to his Skipper, Corey Lewandowski, seems curious about what Bannon said — and if it’s true, what danger the country may be in. The only concern is to protect and cover for Trump at all costs.

I hadn't thought of that

Weird. As if the entire machinery of the reich is somewhat...compromised

3. An excerpt from the article:

Let that sink in for a moment. When Bannon promoted white nationalism, misogyny, an accused child molester, severe online bullying and conspiracy theories, he was a king to the right-wing media, Trump and most of the Republicans in Congress. But when he dared to tell the truth, when confirmation from an insider could help save the country from the danger, Bannon was cut out like a member of Tony Soprano’s “family” who turned state’s evidence.

It’s one thing for Trump to cut off ties to Bannon. But the wholesale embracing of Bannon’s political slaughter by conservative institutions for this, rather than for his past ugly sins, is quite another.

Finally, dropped by the Mercers, and by extension and formally by Breitbart, Bannon is now a man without a country, friends or home. That conveys an ominous message: Do not criticize this American president or you will be destroyed.

unfavorably of Trump, it makes you wonder what their plans are for the rest of the American people.

Bannon reminds me of what happened to Ernst Rohm in Nazi Germany.

financially backed him at Breitbart.

He had no power or money of his own, it all flowed from them.

His loss in Alabama with Moore and the quotes in Wolff's book were his final undoing.

Guess he thought the Mercers would stick with him but they ousted him from Breitbart too.

He was also ousted from his radio gig on Progressive radio (satellite), so he's lost three jobs in the last 4 months with no prospects.

Wouldn't wanna be him.

Karma moves swiftly sometimes and it wasted no time in smacking him in his alt-wrong ass.

5. It only frightens rightwing deplorables who thought Trump was a "populist", not rest of us

I'm celebrating his kick to the curb, especially after he promoted Roy Moore.

About time the Trumpers started realizing that Trump is only out for Trump and will use people expecting their total loyalty in return. If they fail to please the god emperor in every way with constant praise and positive attention, they're fired. Trump is not about helping the average American as he promised, but only seeking more power and wealth for people like himself. Bannon helped Trump win by bringing in Mercer/Conaway/Pence with their evangelical money and support, but Trump no longer needs him as much as he needs traditional insider Repubs to support and protect him and expand beyond the base to get him reelected.

The article shows they are just fine with the bigotry and supporting of child molestors.

Their problem was saying something negative about trump. Even though we see clearly everyday it's true.

Metaphorically speaking, Bannon is Trotsky to Trump's Stalin.

It's just the umpteenth time Trump has betrayed someone who ceased to be of use.

If anything we should be less frightened as once again Trump proves he can't manage people, or even tolerate them.

And Bannon's ouster was not "brutal." He made his own bed there by being a venomous reptile dependent on sugar daddies who are, if anything, worse. Let him go get a real job if he wants decent treatment in the workplace.

He pits people against each other simply for his entertainment. It should be noted that they clearly have little to do otherwise. One sign of weakness and you're out. One sign of strength and you're out. Disloyalty is an out. Those cast aside are to be mocked by the rest...who wait for the next outing.
