and the way Comey handled the Clinton situation was definitely not pro-Dem.

It would not surprise me if the organization and its members leaned conservative, but by and large I think most of them are capable of divorcing that from their primary job.

that is probably not still true, but many of them may still be in leadership positions.

5. It's like most law enforcement

Police officers, FBI field agents and most other law enforcement agencies do tend be politically center and center right at the lower levels.

At some point in every major department or agency, politics comes into play at the higher management levels, especially when gets to the level where they can be hired or fired by a mayor, governor or president.
