They smashed Beatles records in the Bible Belt after John Lennon said something like that...

Ex-Trump Hispanic advisory council member: Trump could beat 'ticket of Jesus and the Virgin Mary' in 2020

A former member of President Trump's Hispanic advisory council said Tuesday he thinks Trump could win reelection against "a combined ticket of Jesus and the Virgin Mary."

“If Donald Trump has three more years like the year he just had of amazing successes, he can run against a combined ticket of Jesus and the Virgin Mary and he will still win in 2020,” said Steve Cortes, a Fox News contributor, during an interview on Fox Business Network.

- destroyed regulations
- put lots of conservative judges to the bench
- passed a massive tax-cut

These are accomplishments, Yes. But none of them scream "I'm better than Jesus."

(Maybe if you pronounce it latino? "I'm better than Jesus.&quot

I think it was one of the silliest incidents in American history. Thanks for the reminder!

The RNC and right wing media would paint Jesus and Mary as bleeding heart, liberal socialists, and we already know Trump will get the evangelical vote. It wouldn’t even be close.

Are bigots and misogynists cloaking their hatred with religious slander. They either do not know or do not care about the teaching of Jesus. Evil hiding in the name of God is nothing new, but it is as disgusting today as it always was.

I suspect Cortez doesn't believe his own bullshit, but the audience will.

They literally live in a different world from the rest of us reality-based lifeforms, don't they?

I had forgotten about it. It was a huge stink. Lots of bonfires burning Beatles stuff and nothing they could say would pacify the Bible Belt.
