Plus it makes him look really guilty.

If I decided to plead the 5th, I would not answer a single question. As a matter of law once you answer one question, you can put yourself in jeopardy by later asserting your 5th Amendment rights (see Lerner).

And as I understand it, the Law says, "That in such a case, you, the jury are free to draw whatever conclusion you want."

He might do it because all he really cares about is himself.

He will claim when not under oath that the proceedings are a kangaroo court, and he will get away with it because supporters of the GOP don't give a damn.

If I was him I would go with a blanket 5th on all questions. He looks like the mobster he is, but then again, not enough decent people care.

It's baked in.

Our 1/3 will pull our hair out.

Their 1/3 will cheer, and say good, they're just whatever anyways.

The middle 1/3 will continue to sit in the corner babbling they're both the same.

But, as a practical matter, invoking the 5th amend will make him look guilty.

Thinks he can talk his way out of anything. Even if the first words out of his mouth to a question were that he was pleading the 5th, it would be followed by a lengthy outraged oratory about how he couldn't possibly have done what was just asked and the person who did do it over and over again was Hillary Clinton.
