better down play all the current positive generic 2017 mid-term polls..

In the past couple of weeks.. I hear practically everyday how Dems. are winning the generic poll.

I would suggest to all Dem Nominees that based on the 2016 Election Results.

Never should we rest easy again when it comes to an election

We need to act as though we're losing and act accordingly.

But my advice to you (and all of DU) is to find an election that is local to you that matters. Step up to the plate and go volunteer to knock doors or make phone calls. Give the candidate a financial contribution. Donate supplies, food, etc to the staffers. Even offer to host a staffer in your spare bedroom (if possible).

Elections are won by the people and this is an all hands on deck year.

It is an excellent tool for recruiting Dem candidates where there might otherwise be none. I live in such a place.
