Mueller insider: 'Loose cannon' Trump will 'leap blindly' on landmines laid by special counsel's off

BRAD REED
09 JAN 2018 AT 10:20 ET

President Donald Trump’s lawyers are reportedly in negotiations with special counsel Robert Mueller’s office to conduct an interview as part of the ongoing probe into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Given Trump’s difficulty in controlling his impulses, however, many legal experts say they’d be wary of letting Trump chat with Mueller’s crack team of prosecutors. One source who is described as having “knowledge of the Mueller investigation” tells New York Magazine’s Cristian Farias that Trump is the kind of client that gives attorneys nightmares because he will “humiliate you and destroy you because he just can’t follow directions.”

The Mueller team will be ready to go with several carefully calibrated questions designed to trip up the president, says the source, and the president’s lawyers will have a very difficult time controlling his responses.

“He’s a loose cannon,” the source told Farias. “No matter how much you prep him, no matter what small words you use to explain to him the potential landmines he could step on … he will leap in blindly and say whatever pops into his head, and that could be a potential disaster.”

Farias also notes that even pro-Trump legal pundit Alan Dershowitz has questioned the wisdom of letting Trump be interviewed by Mueller, although he said that he would never be willing to let any client get grilled by the prosecution.

when Robert Mueller replays the video of the Lester Holt interview and ask Trump was that him talking about the reason why he fired FBI Director, Jim Comey. Trump will either have to say 'YES" or "No". He will not be able to plead the 5th because it's all on video.

That's what is shaping up to be his best move

They cannot easily convict him criminally with his mental health problem and it would limit what they can do to him re money laundering.

The people directly under him probably have a more serious problem

The challenge is whether they can convince him to do that with his mental health problems.

The sooner Mueller sinks his teeth into Trumpy's lies, the sooner the idiot leaves the White House.

Mueller can't relent and allow Trumpy to avoid a personal interview, and Trumpy cannot dictate the terms of questioning. Doing so would indicate that Mueller doesn't have the power to prosecute, even though he's a "special prosecutor." It would thereby indicate that Trumpy is above the law and can be described as a dictator. This is a very serious moment in US and world history. Trumpy MUST be questioned by Mueller's team, on their terms.

I know his lawyers are so scared to allow him to talk to Mueller cause they know he will run his mouth. He is a hot head, cocky, arrogant and thinks he is way smarter (genius) than everyone. He will crash and burn.

I mean, the guy lies as easily as breathing, quite often about totally irrelevant things (like winning the presidency on his first try). Just ask an open-ended question with one or two buzz words and let him go. He'll address the question for about six words, then start riffing on his stream of consciousness. Whatever pops into his head will come out his mouth, unfiltered and unexamined.

Mind you, I'm rooting for the meatgrinder, but still.

It never says that. It always uses the "close to" language. You know who's "close to" the investigation? Trump's lawyers, who are shitting their pants. Who else but Trump's lawyers would be saying this:

“He’s a loose cannon,” the source told Farias. “No matter how much you prep him, no matter what small words you use to explain to him the potential landmines he could step on … he will leap in blindly and say whatever pops into his head, and that could be a potential disaster.”

Leaks like this are meant to commmunicate to their own client, since he is apparently not listening to them. It is also meant to cover their asses: "We told him not to talk to Mueller!"

There is a difference as to how much leeway they have. And a special prosecutor can be fired by the Attorney General, an Independent prosecutor cannot.

According to a deposition from Trump's 1992 bankruptcy hearing, his lawyers said that they would always meet with the real estate mogul in pairs, so he couldn't backtrack on them.
From Salon.com

Got that? He such a disgusting fucking liar that his own attorneys had to double-team him to make sure that he didn't like to them.

If Idiot Trump actual meets with Mueller under oath, he'll impeach himself in less than six minutes.

Don: ..Trump is the kind of client that gives attorneys nightmares because he will “humiliate you and destroy you because he just can’t follow directions.”

Triangulation (psychology) Triangulation is a manipulation tactic where one person will not communicate directly with another person, instead using a third person to relay communication to the second, thus forming a triangle.

{triangulation as applies to narcissists, ie delusional donald}:
Narcissism
In the context of narcissism, triangulation is when the narcissist attempts to control the flow, interpretation, and nuances of communication between two separate actors or groups of actors. Ensuring communications flow through, and constantly relate back to the narcissist provides a feeling of importance.
.. In some cases narcissists will use control of communication to drive a wedge between the other parties. This can be done by falsely making one of the actors or groups of actors into a scapegoat for problems that the narcissist is actually responsible for or that are otherwise unrelated. {ie democrats, obama, chuck & nancy, bannon now}.
.. In addition the narcissist may falsely credit the other actor with saying or thinking something hurtful, or may put too much emphasis on an aspect of something that was said to them that ignores the wider context.
.. Alternatively, the narcissist may attempt to use triangulation to put a third actor between them and someone they are commonly in conflict with. Rather than communicating directly with the actor they're in conflict with, the narcissist flows communication supporting his or her case through a third actor in an attempt to make the communication more credible.

Geez, trump in his nutshell.
Tweety bird brain. Bizarrerie.
