I agree with him that RW media is all too often pushing propaganda that might be coming straight from the Kremlin.
A week or so ago we saw a Fox News chyron about a "coup" against Trump.
Now the Federalist's Mollie Hemingway has written this:
Treat Mental Health Talk Against Trump Like The Coup Attempt It Is

John Schindler's response on Twitter:

RT & Sputnik are more subtle than this.
Who funds @FDRLST again?
Oh, right, we don't know.

(16,423 posts)They only report on topics of choice, thereby skewing public perception:
- 90% of stories about the US are how awful it is to live there: bad weather, crime, corruption and stupid people everywhere
- likewise, the EU only gets reported on if there's a chance to bash it
- They only report on corruption in Russia if the story is about how Russia has successfully fought corruption
And even if they report on a story, they tend to leave out critical parts
- They reported on clashes between russian and british hooligans in 2016, except they never called them "russian hooligans" if the russian hooligans were the aggressors.
- They reported on russian athletes being blocked for doping and how unfair that is, except they not once mentioned doping.
- They reported on the EU moving against Poland, except they not once mentioned why the EU did that.
The irony is that RT does as strongly believe in their motto "Question More" as Fox News does believe in "Fair and Balanced".
And even if the article contains the whole story, you still have to be careful:
- RT tends to mix hard facts with rumors they want to draw attention to.
- RT tends to slip and make "mistakes", e.g. reporting that nothing from the Steele-dossier has been corroborated. Oops.
