Then I can buy any gun I want, including real full auto, and take it into any city as long as I have my license, just like a car?

If I just keep my guns on my own property I don't need a license or insurance, just like a car

Any 18 years old can buy any gun they want, just like a car

No more background checks for any firearm. No body did a background check last time I bought a car.

No waiting periods to pick up a gun once it's paid for.

That would be a lot better that what we have now.

Let's get the petitions started.

Requires a license from the ATF. It's not that hard to get. $200 and a few months of background check.

take it into any city as long as I have my license, just like a car?

Nope. Try to bring a car to California without "California Emissions". When you move to California you're required to re-register your car, and you can't do that without the emissions package.

Thus localities would still be able to increase restrictions on guns, just like they can increase restrictions on cars.

No body did a background check last time I bought a car.

Actually, they did.

If you got a loan or a lease, the bank did one.

Even if you didn't, the dealer was required to confirm you have a valid drivers license, which is a background check. Albeit a very quick one.

...and product liability.

Rates keep going up. You can't afford it. They've got your address. They come get it.

Buy an automatic weapon. Insurance on that would be through the roof.

Somebody breaks into your house; steals your guns. Kills someone; you are partly to blame because it wasn't adequately secured.

Win, win and win.
