I heard a commentator the other day, and his comment about that move was basically: Companies do that all the time, and usually it comes before any lawsuit is filed, because a small company/individual person will often actually "cease and desist" based on the fear of legal assault by someone with deeper pockets. Trump did this all the time, it was one of his primary tactics to use against small contractors who he was screwing on their fees and payments.

As a public figure demanding the retraction of a published work, well Wolff has already said, "Tell me where to send the chocolates and thanks for all the free advertising."

Trump is under serious criminal threats that could include the death penalty, and impeachment first, of course. That should keep his attorneys occupied for a decade or so.
