'It Is Time To Stop Chasing Rabbits': Fusion GPS Founders Accuse GOP Of Protecting Trump

The founders of Fusion GPS are not happy. They are not happy with Republicans in Congress, they are not happy with Donald Trump, and they are particularly unhappy that their testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee has not been released in spite of their request that the transcript be made public.

And so they took to the New York Times op-ed pages today to tell all of us about how Republicans are selectively leaking parts of their testimony to make them look bad while refusing to investigate Trump's crooked business history, particularly when it comes to his associations with Russian money launderers.

"We suggested investigators look into the bank records of Deutsche Bank and others that were funding Mr. Trump’s businesses," principals Glenn R. Simpson and Peter Fritsch wrote. "Congress appears uninterested in that tip: Reportedly, ours are the only bank records the House Intelligence Committee has subpoenaed."

But why did they suggest investigators look more carefully at Deutsche Bank and other funders?

Simpson and Fritsch answer that question, too. "We told Congress that from Manhattan to Sunny Isles Beach, Fla., and from Toronto to Panama, we found widespread evidence that Mr. Trump and his organization had worked with a wide array of dubious Russians in arrangements that often raised questions about money laundering. ...The Congressional Rethuglicans ARE PROTECTING THEMSELVES. Methinks floods of Russian/FSB dark money have permeated the 'thugs super PACs, and certain Rethugs also reap the benefits of "questionable" Russian business partnerships.

but i came to the same conclusion several weeks ago. their behavior is shockingly anti-American. I knew they were power mad ratfuckers but once upon a time I suppose I believed they were interested in the health of the nation and took their oaths to uphold the constitution seriously. They are subverting our democracy and enabling a man who is dangerously insane to play with our well-being as if we were just 300 million dolls.

I haven't thought of anything else to attribute this decline to but that they are also beholden to Putin.

He knew about Trump's money laundering and Trumps collusion with Putin to rig our elections.

So why was he out hunting rabbits while the wolves were slaughtering the sheep?

and i seriously believe we will never know the answer. you can refer to Comey's testimony though to possibly gain insight. My personal belief is that he was squeezed by trumpsters inside the FBI and jumped without serious consideration for the consequences. this is no excuse but he testified that he would do it again. really not sure i believe that.

republicans have always been about party over country. Now they have welded themselves to the biggest idiot this country has ever produced..............bush 2 is a genius compared to the snot-nosed brat infecting the White House today.
Sad to say, the idiot is here to stay because the republican cowards will never vote to impeach or even remove it from office via the 25th Amendment.
