President Donald Trumps eldest son on Monday promoted a conspiracy that originated with the anti-secrecy website WikiLeaks. The conspiracy promoted by Donald Trump Jr. alleges that the New York Times colluded with Hillary Clinton while she was the Secretary of State.
The double standard never ends. Every day @realDonaldTrumps win is that much more impressive when you realize all he was actually up against, Trump Jr. wrote on Twitter.
The tweet linked to an article published on the conservative Daily Wire website, which claimed that an email released by WikiLeaks on Sunday night was proof that the New York Times colluded with the State Department in 2010.
The email released by WikiLeaks was authored by New York Times national security reporter Scott Shane. The email shows that he provided the State Department with information about when the newspaper planned to publish articles about a trove of leaked U.S. diplomatic cables. WikiLeaks alleged the New York Times was providing Clinton with up to 9 days in advance to spin the revelations or create diversions.
Shane, however, dismissed the allegations as nonsense. In a series of tweets, he explained that the newspaper worked with the State Department to protect dissidents from hostile retailation from foreign governments.

(16,794 posts)are desperate for any deflection they can buy to take the focus off of them. Bob Mueller has yet to talk with Jr., Jared, and others. That the Election of 2016 is tainted and not legitimate upsets them to no end.

(5,271 posts)"President Trump's son-in-law and senior White House adviser Jared Kushner was interviewed by special counsel Robert Mueller's office, CBS News has learned.
CNN was first to report that Mueller's investigators asked Kushner about former national security adviser Michael Flynn. Kushner was questioned earlier this month.
Sources familiar with the process say the interview happened in the first week of November and lasted about 90 minutes. They say it was largely focused on certain interactions, meetings or communications Kushner had with Flynn on the matters the special counsel is investigating about Flynn's actions and conduct, as well as his son's."
Mueller has not interviewed Don Jr. yet, but he appeared before Congress and refused to answer some questions but has provided some of his incriminating emails with Wikileaks and the Trump tower meeting participants.
Hope Hicks, Stephen Miller, Priebus, Spicer and most of the other WH top officials have been interviewed at length, before it was known that Mueller had all those transition emails, so should be an interesting year as they are being caught up in the web and almost certainly have lied or withheld information known to Mueller's team.
