to think that, of all Americans, only special counsel Robert Mueller III has truly seen the scope of America's defeat by the Russians and the mortal damage they've done to our national infrastructure, and he's probably learning more about it every day.

however this turns out, i hope he can tell us all the truth about what it's been like for him, to know so much about the hows and whys of what happened over the last 30 years and having unique insight into what will happen over the next 10. in a way, he has become the fulcrum of events, the vortex at the center of how history -- on a global scale -- plays out and how the future will regard us. one is not taught how to do this, one is seldom prepared through upbringing to become the center, it must be so hard to continue performing an exacting legal investigation knowing what he knows every day combined with the pressures of his position at this time. America and maybe the world is counting on him to truly be among the great humans capable of bearing the burdens of what is to come.

4. I'll reserve judgement on Mueller when I hear what he comes up with and if he can convince Congress

to take any action. Part of me is still a little worried that the future of our country rests in the hands of a republican who was in charge of the FBI, who historically have done some things that were not very nice to all of us. I hope as much as anyone that this all turns out right, but I am skeptical.

He may still take a long time.
From what I hear Mueller won't let politics, good or bad, influence the way he runs his investigations and these investigations can take many years before they are brought to court.

By the next election in November the investigation might still be puttering along without anyone really knowing what's going on. All we would have would be rumors like now. And I don't even want to think about 2020 if the shit hasn't hit the fan.

And we don't even know what the shit is.
We suspect it will be horrendous, particularly with the way Trump and his beeny babies have reacted, but there's no guarantee.

I wish people would stop being so gawdarned confident that it will be what everything we hope.

Of course I hope it will be devastating to Trump and come out much faster but you have to be aware that it's just not a sure thing.

7. Mueller - time will tell

Like many, I can only imagine what weighs on his shoulders and what he knows and has learned about what is happening.

What he does, remains to be seen. I have like many, high hopes, yet many reservations about what if anything will be able to be done by him.

I too feel that resting our hopes on one man, a Republican, may seem far-fetched, but it is ultimately what we have and what is our best hope.

I will judge Mueller on what he does - not on his past, not on what Fox News or Republican Talking Heads say now to discredit him.

He may turn out to be America’s true hero and Patriot. He may turn out to be none of that.

We shall see. Only Robert Mueller knows what he is going to do and what it will be...
