I don't see anything in the the comic that is saying you have to agree with stupid ideas. The comic isn't talking about balance fallacy, but the backfire effect.

and other stuff that appeals to emotions like rage.
It feels great to think of oneself as bravely defending your way of life from those evil bastards trying to destroy it for spite, but it often just isn't true. The best part is in that last sentence I didn't say who was liberal or conservative or whatever. It could be anyone who believes anything.

about brainwashing by hate radio. People hold onto their core beliefs whether they're sound or not.
