Democrats in Congress lost House in 2010 and lost Senate in 2014.

The Democratic Party of 2008 was strong, by 2014 it was weak.

Having the presidency does not automatically equal power. democrats concentrated on getting President re-elected in 2012.

Got to be able to focus on congress and presidency together.
