by Justin Baragona | 10:42 am, December 24th, 2017
It has been a whirlwind past couple of days for progressive political analyst Joan Walsh.
The former Salon editor-in-chief and current Nation correspondent announced late last week that she had suddenly been let go by MSNBC as a paid contributor after working for the network for years. MSNBCs decision to cut ties with the well-known progressive commentator not only led to widespread liberal outrage but also criticism from a number of MSNBC hosts.
On Saturday evening, Walsh took to Twitter to announce that she had been hired by CNN.

A CNN spokesperson has confirmed that Walsh will indeed be joining the network as a political commentator.
