One of my pet peeves is when I hear

from the employer class (private sector), We provide jobs, no they don't, people who buy their products/ services create the jobs.
and their employees provide their standard of living.
sick of the provide jobs narrative that has never been true. An average employee never makes what they are worth ex. lets say they make $10 an hour, well you better bring in more than $10 an hour, because whats the point for the business. They need to make a profit off their employees. Employees are just overhead to most employers (I know there are some great employers out there by the way)

So the idea that this Tax break is going to provide jobs is a ruse, unfortunately a lot of middle and low income people are going to believe this because we have been hit over the head with this job creator myth from school, media, politicians on both sides of the aisle, it is just the myth that keeps on giving to the lie

George Carlin said it the best

friend, and I always thought I'd meet him somewhere and looked forward to it. But, nonsense. He always went dark and cynical, but not always knee-grabbing like this. He's finally far closer to reality after what happened this last year, but now he'd no longer have the luxury of selling pretend despair as a wakeup message to those who'd listen.
