How much more can we take?

These traitors and monsters are dedicated to destroy the country while laughing at us as we suffer.
The tax bill is going to end the country as anything we ever knew, seniors will be living on the streets and only the rich will get health care.

I am at my breaking point knowing what my future just became.

too damn stupid and propagandized to get what's going on. I personally do not see much of a future for the US. If I were a youth, I would try to get the hell out as best I could.

It doesn't help that the media concentrates on salacious stories instead of boring stuff like tax policy. Even when the media criticizes Trump it is usually on the basis of his vulgarity not that he supports the same awful policies that so-called "reasonable" Republicans like Paul Ryan support.

Then you have millions of Americans who are so deeply into the right-wing media bubble that they are effectively brainwashed. Fox News, talk radio and right-wing Internet websites all contribute to this. Even more people don't even pay attention to politics at all or they just hear "Trump supports tax cuts, well heck, I want lower taxes, sounds good to me!" without even knowing how down the line that the tax cuts will be used to push through cuts to Medicare and Social Security.

It also doesn't help that even well-informed Americans often don't care about bad policies as long as they don't hurt them personally so millions of Americans are willing to throw poor people and other "out groups" under the bus so long as they think they will be OK. Let's face it, millions of Americans are selfish to the bone and don't care if other people suffer as long as they get their tax cut who cares if we throw poor kids and seniors under the bus.

There are times when I honestly think this country is doomed.

success of your country is based on climbing over each other, screwing over the next person, and all that counts is the collection of money, it soon develops into a shit hole. ... and eventually the greatest keys to success, being a narcissistic sociopath. And, we see a lot of this in corporations and government.

the media and propaganda will carry on, like isn't this the greatest ever.

I frankly do not have much hope for the future of the US. It had a good spell after WWII, but now over decades it's been slowly falling apart. With this, the ship US will have taken on too much water.

Some will have it good, but millions and millions will end up living in an improvised country. Already, there is so much poverty in the US, that a UN task force is looking into it. Parts of the US are absolute pits, but never see the light of day in MSM, and much of the gov. could give a shit. I really often wonder how many really see how horrible many parts of the US are.

I believe that will be the breaking point. As long as things are still humming along, people getting to work, food in the stores, teevee, sports, and internet, ELECTRICITY still on, Muricans will maintain their trance. If the grid goes down for an extended period of time, we will all be Puerto Ricans. That's when it will become very ugly.

But seriously, no electricity means things get very bad, quite quickly.

About 10 years ago a big storm came through my area and knocked out many power line
transformers. No power for two weeks.

Things got bad in one week, food supplies down, no gas for cars due to credit card machines
not working, few people had cash on hand, older people and sick people died in higher numbers.
Any one on the margin suffered more.

In the middle of the second week, as we ran out of food, and had no idea when the power would
return, I wondered how I would feed my child, a young teen at the time. I had started eating small or
no rations, so she could eat. I seriously started considering my options to feed her, and eyed a grocery
store in walking distance, closed due to no power, but plenty of food on the shelves in the dark store.
I was surprised at how quickly a totally law abiding person with no history of criminal activity at all,
could so quickly begin to consider such options.
