This never was about jobs.

Non government jobs are created by a healthy middle class and increase in consumer demand.

Now those service employees making under $20/hr with little or no benefits will see their government social safety nets and services they rely on cut, because of lack of tax money to pay for those things. Any tax cut they see in their paycheck will be offset in the extra money they will have to pay for basic needs (food, housing, transportation, healthcare, education, childcare, utilities, etc.). A permanent underclass is what the GOP wants to achieve. The American Dream now seems to be to know your place and serve the wealthy.
