My friend went to the African American museum today and prepaid for parking.

She used an app to buy tickets and parking, and it gave only an address and "valet parking at the hotel.". The directions for parking said "Enter this location at 1100 Pennsylvania Ave. NW. This is the valet of the hotel located in the Old Post Office building, operated by LAZ. It is located on the south side of Pennsylvania Ave. NW between 12th St. NW and 10th St. NW. The entrance is located along the drive on the east side of the building."

She didn't realize it, but when she pulled up, it's the Trump International Hotel. She said it hit her like a punch in the stomach. Nothing on the app or receipt said Trump Int'l on it, but she spent $25 to park there. Sooooo, she came home and made a $25 donation to the ACLU to offset the pain of "Cheeto VonTweeto" getting some of her money. She said she figured if the app said Trump Int'l Hotel, nobody would pick that parking option.

Oh, and she said to the attendant "I didn't know it was this place. I hate being here." He told her "So do we."

12. I recommend metro, you can park at a suburban station for $5 and get off at Federal Triangle

and not worry about traffic or parking while you're here. Or if you hate Reagan less, his building has a large garage with lots of spots for $15 on weekends. Union station has lots of spots, a good price, metro/bus, and you can get your parking validated for a discount. Many garages will offer all day parking for less than Trump's shitty hotel.

The circulator bus stops right in front of the museum and is only $1 to ride. It goes all around the monuments and national mall.

I don't want to imagine how the type of idiots who knowingly waste their money at Trump's rip off hotel would treat the minorities and immigrants who work there. The cheapest cocktail is $24. Bud Light is $8. Anyone who pays those prices is not someone I want in my life.

DUers, ask someone from DC before making rookie mistakes. People prey on tourists here. The Trumps don't deserve your money.
