Charlie The Golden and Mr. Quackers

I love these videos. The family has 3 golden retrievers, 2 New Foundlands, and a cat. They are all great but Charlie is my favorite to watch. The mom writes what she thinks the dogs are thinking in captions and they're really funny too.

Could we start a there's still hope thread.

I inherited my mother's pessimistic personality, and sometimes I can only imagine the dark outcomes. I need some potential positive signs that the dystopia the Magats want to turn America into, won't ever come to be anywhere other than their sicko minds.

I don't mean those over the top headlines You Tube hosts love to use like "Trump Completely Doomed," when one minor thing went against him.

But real efforts to push back that are succeeding, former Trumpers who decided never to vote for him again, stuff like that?

I think there are others here too, who might be helped by it as well.

Anyway just a thought.

Tried Popeyes' Chicken for the first time.

One opened where I live last week. Have to say not a fan. Staff was nice but just didn't care for the chicken or the fries. I prefer Kentucky Fried, and even spinach. 🤣

My sister didn't like it either. First and last time all in one trip.

In National and World Affairs

There is only 1 thing that matters. Beating Trump, period.

I say this not because I don't care about what's going on in the Middle East, or Ukraine. It's in fact because I care about those of us in the U.S. and all the other countries who just want to live in a world with at least a modicum of sanity.

That can't happen if Trump wins. In my honest opinion he won't just bring the U.S down but the entire free world. His best pal Putin will ensure that.

It won't help Palestinian, Isreal, Ukraine or anyone else, but the dictators. All it will bring is a chaotic dystopia.

This has to be driven home over and over again, because if he wins we all lose. More people who have the ability to get their voices heard, need to make that crystal clear.

"Most people get a guardian angel, the lucky ones get a German Shepherd." Anonymous T Shirt writer.

In loving memory of my five Shepherds who crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈 And a shout out to my current best friend, Dakota.

Things that definitely sound dirty but aren't!

Watching an old episode of a cooking competition featuring noodles. One of the chefs realizes she's over cooked hers, but there isn't time to cook more, and she will have to serve the judges what she has. Her comment: "Well a wet limp noodle, is better than no noodle."

My Dad was born on May 8, 1908.

He was 54 years old when I was born. He was a great Dad, he always made me feel safe and loved. He worked on his family farm, in a shoe factory, owned a water delivery service, volunteered with 3 local fire department's, and became chief mechanic for a local DPW when he was in his early 60's, and worked until he was 79.

So many people loved and respected him for his honesty, work ethic, and willingness to help others. I was always proud to be his daughter.

Sadly we lost him October 14, 1991. I still miss him every day, and wish he were still here to hug me, and say "it's all going to be okay dolly."

Question on Sinus Infection?

I thought I remembered my PCP saying they are not contagious. I asked Alexa and she confirmed that specific illness is not contagious, but the underlying condition i.e. a bad cold, could be contagious, depending on whatever viruses or bacteria caused it.

So basically isn't that just a long way of saying you could be contagious, and put others at risk of possibly getting something?

Got a really bad SI and called and canceled with my Psychiatrist, and called the companion service, and asked if they would call my aide, and give her the choice of whether she wants to come or reschedule. I don't want her to get it, but I also don't want her to lose pay because of me. Already had to cancel once this month.

I am kind of hoping she reschedule because I feel like 💩

Do coin dealers evaluate and buy bills to?

My Mom saved some old coins and a few bills. My sister has been checking value on a coin app and we plan on taking them into a coin dealer. Nothing worth a lot so far.

She also saved some bills and a few might be worth a little more than face value? My question do we have to find someone who specializes in paper currency or can the coin dealer do that too?

Also do bills and coins have to be non circulated to be worth anything?

Something Positive

The last two elections my cousin's daughter voted for Trump. He told me, however, that she's had a change of heart. They were watching the weekend Today show and started talking about Trump's trial. He said she yelled at the screen today, and said, "why don't they throw him in jail and just get it over with?" So apparently some do recover.
