If you like British historical and period pieces, Acorn Media has a selection of their library streaming for free until Aug. 31.

You do have to register, but it's free for the time being. I don't know what the eventual fee will be. Just thought this seemed like a good outlet for costume dramas. I ran across it because I was looking for recipes in the New York Times this morning.

I've had it for a week or so. Watched the first season of the (new) Forsyte Saga. Now I'll get the second season on Netflix.

I love these series.
