MEN and BBQs (a plea for help)
I am a wizard, crafter of amazing things in the kitchen... but put me on a BBQ an i become totally helpless.
As a rule my (ex)wife would manage the BBQ in Holland, tho i did slowly start to take over and cook without killing us on my own =p

Any suggestions? it's BBQ season, and I'm kinda bad at it.

1. Don't BBQ
Are you somehow obligated to do it?

3. I don't think I've ever barbecued anything in my life
I've cooked a lot in the kitchen, but never outside.

4. Get the grill hot first.
If using gas, sear the meat both sides then turn down the heat.

If you use bbq sauce, keep the surface wet.

You'll have to learn "done but not overdone" through trial and error.

Brats and especially chicken pieces should be boiled first. You can't grill a raw chicken leg without burning.
