NBC’s “Meet the Press” - Former White House Senior Advisor, David Axelrod, on the changing 2012 political landscape and the "Trump Effect" in the current discourse.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Virginia Governor and Vice-Chairman of the Republican Governor’s Association, Bob McDonnell (R-VA)

Sen. Marco Rubio weighs in on the GOP’s leading candidates for 2012, public backlash against their budget plan, and the effect his Tea Party will have on the general election.

Head Writer for Saturday Night Live, Seth Meyers, sat down with David to talk about hosting the White House Correspondents Dinner and the power of political parodies. He told Gregory his main priority is "not to bomb."

ABC This Week- Paul Ryan
roundtable: ABC News' George Will, Arianna Huffington of The Huffington Post, former Reagan budget director David Stockman, and Chrystia Freeland of Thomson-Reuters will debate the Ryan plan and what the country needs to do to get back on firm financial footing.

Plus, as the Arab spring turns stormy with another bloody weekend in Syria and a Pew Report that indicates many Egyptians resent America, "This Week" brings the very latest from the region and Amanpour examines the growing debate over whether the Obama Administration has indeed lost its way in the Middle East.

CNN, “State of the Union” - The political consequences of entitlement reform came into focus during the Congressional recess. Will Washington act or punt past the 2012 election? We'll ask Republican Sen. John Barrasso and Democratic Rep. Chris Van Hollen about that, the debt ceiling, gas prices and more when they join us live and in studio.

Then, we'll discuss President Obama's national security shuffle withformer National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley and a former ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee, former Rep. Jane Harman.

We'll shift to our education panel as we try to answer the question: Why are our kids falling behind in the classroom? We'll discuss the struggle to improve America's education system with the former superintendent of Denver public schools, Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet; the former U.S. Secretary of Education, Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander; CNN education contributor and the founder of the Capitol Preparatory Magnet School, Steve Perry; and the president of the American Federation of Teachers, Randi Weingarten.

And finally, legendary interviewer Larry King will join us to discuss hisupcoming CNN special, "Unthinkable -- An Alzheimer's Epidemic."

Fox News Sunday - Michele Bachmann, Sen. Kent Conrad, Sen. Lindsey Graham

Fareed Zakaria GPS - A major reshuffling occurred at the highest levels of the U.S. intelligence community and military this week. General David Petraeus and Leon Panetta will take on new roles as the head of the CIA and the Pentagon respectively. Fareed calls these “excellent appointments” but his take is that no matter who leads, there needs to be major strategic shift in America's approach to international crises.

Next we’re bringing you a panel of experts to discuss the brutal crackdown in Syria, a potentially unified Palestinian front and the fate of the Arab monarchies. Joining Fareed this week are:

- Martin Indyk, the former U.S. Ambassador to Israel and vice president and director of foreign policy at the Brookings Institution.
- Fawaz Gerges, the Director of the Middle East Center at the London School of Economics
- Ayman Mohyeldin, Al Jazeera English’s Cairo-based correspondent who was recently named one of TIME Magazines 100 most influential people in the world.
- Elliott Abrams, a senior fellow for Middle Eastern Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations and former deputy national security adviser to President George W. Bush.

5. Thank you, cal04!
Quite a variety of topics to chew on this week!

And even a segment on student "failure" (on CNN) for education-watchers. Let's hope they give some real reasons instead of more blaming and punishing teachers!
