1. They're racists. We've long been ashamed of them. They've just recently had
an "accepted" platform to come out of the closet (albeit cleverly disguised as "patriots").

9. Very sad but true
I'm very sad about America today. I wish that there would be a media boycott on giving these people airtime period. Just stop it! Stop covering this mess and get it off the front page.

Good grief!

3. all these birthers remind me of the Nazis wanting people to prove
that they were aryan. You had to be aryan to be a good german. Now you have to prove you were born here to prove that you are a good american. Not much difference in my estimation. And I have not seen Donald Trump's birth certificate, have you??

4. You feel ashamed because of behavior of people over whom you have no control?
That sounds kind of like a teenager being embarrassed by the type of vehicle driven by his or her parents.

5. Yeah, I was just watching this on Cenk. These people are F'en crazy, that's
where they are coming from. And if you study them, they are really really creepy individuals. Yeah, many humans really really suck. I don't know why, it took me a long time to realize that, but some humans are absolutely scum.

12. I guess the thing to do is look for the good.
There were black troops in the Civil War. Even Union troops gave them a hard time for their skin color. Yet there were those who were on their side. I guess what I'm saying is there will always be people who do rotten things. I also focus on the bad. After all, a bridge doesn't fail at it's strongest point. So focusing on the weakest is important.

I'm very tired from looking at ugliness. I always think back to Nelson Mandela. Decades in a cell. Still, good came even after that.

We will prevail.
